New product introduced at Fibers & Yarns Exhibition 2026 focuses on recycled nylon applications

Century Enka Limited introduced NUENYL, described as India’s first chemically recycled nylon yarn, at the Fibers & Yarns Exhibition 2026 (Tecoya).

The product is manufactured using chemical recycling technology and is positioned for applications requiring material consistency and performance similar to conventional nylon. According to the company, NUENYL is intended for use in segments such as functional wear and athleisure.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Suresh Sodani, Managing Director & CEO, Century Enka Limited, stated:
“NUENYL is not just a product innovation, it is a strategic shift towards the future of textiles. As global demand accelerates for sustainable alternatives, we are proud to introduce India’s first chemically recycled nylon yarn that aligns with evolving environmental standards while delivering uncompromised performance and quality. This launch reinforces our vision to lead the transition towards a circular textile economy.”

The product drew attention from industry stakeholders, brands and value chain participants at the exhibition.

Mr. Sanjay Mehrotra, Joint President, Head – Sales & Marketing, Textiles, added:
“With NUENYL, we are addressing a critical gap in the market. Today, brands are actively seeking recycled solutions that are credible, scalable, and deliver consistent quality and high performance. NUENYL delivers on all these expectations, seamlessly combining sustainability with reliability, making it a future-ready choice for both domestic and global customers.

Produced using advanced chemical recycling technology, NUENYL offers quality that is very close to virgin material, without compromising on performance. This makes it ideally suited for high-end functional wear and athleisure applications, where durability, consistency, and comfort are essential.

This launch marks just the beginning of a larger transformation journey for us as we continue to innovate and drive meaningful change in sustainable textiles”.

NUENYL is designed to support reduced use of virgin raw materials and aims to lower environmental impact while meeting performance requirements for textile applications. The product is aligned with sustainability and compliance standards referenced by the company.

The launch reflects developments in recycled textile materials amid increasing regulatory focus and industry interest in sustainability. The presentation at Fibers & Yarns Exhibition 2026 indicates engagement from stakeholders exploring alternative material solutions.
