Materials science company Recover has launched Recover Yarns, a new portfolio of ready-to-use yarns aimed at increasing the use of recycled cotton throughout the apparel industry.

Recover Yarns, developed with over 150 spinning partners, is now available and provides versatile yarn collections that continuously evolve alongside market trends, innovative blends, and new technologies.

According to Recover, the new collection is designed for various applications, including denim, workwear, jersey, fleece, and woven products, all utilising low-impact recycled cotton fibre produced by Recover.

The company stated that bringing these pre-approved developments together on a single platform allows manufacturers and brands direct access to scalable yarn solutions, intended to fit into existing production processes.

The creation of Recover Yarns follows the company’s strategy to offer an integrated ecosystem from fibre to blank garments, which it describes as “connecting every stage” of the supply chain under a unified brand.

Recover explained that this approach supports traceability and circularity from raw material to finished apparel.

Recover chief executive officer Anders Sjöblom said: “By translating our fibre into ready-to-use yarns, we are making it easier for brands and manufacturers to move from ambition to implementation in their sustainable strategy.”

Recover Yarns portfolio provides partners with access to one of the most recognised recycled materials in the sector, supported by traceability measures, life cycle assessment, and environmental performance data.

The company claims the platform is intended to match evolving demands from the market and support brands and manufacturers of varying sizes, locations, and production needs.

Recover chief product officer Enes Adak added: “Recover Yarns addresses the need for adaptable product solutions that enable the integration of recycled cotton at scale.”
